German Business Confidence Posts Surprise Gain in February 

Berlin (MunichNOW News / dpa) – German business confidence posted a surprise gain in February, the Munich-based Ifo economic institute says.

The Ifo indicator jumped to 111.3 points this month from 110.6 points in January.

While the industry leaders’ assessment of current business conditions rose to 114.4 in February from 112.4 in January, business expectations for six months down the track slid to 108.3 from 108.9.
