MUNICH — (MunichNOWNews) — The 2017 edition of Munch’s annual St Patrick’s Day Parade got underway shortly before noon on Sunday, the 12th of March, under a bright and deep blue Bavarian sky, sunny and almost warm. This would be the first real spring day of 2017.
As the construction at Odeonsplatz prevented the usual stage and food stand set-up, there was talk the turnout would be less than usual, but the weather won the day and Leopoldstr. was filled from Schwabing right down to the Feldherrnhalle.
We arrived on the scooter around one and waded into the crowd for a taste of the celebrations:
