MUNICH -(MunichNOW News)- Upwards of 300 marchers and protesters taking part in the Funktacular 2918 Munich March for Science began their march at Königsplatz this morning, winding their way through the streets of Munich for the final rally at Marienplatz. The enthusiastic group was paced by a rousing drum brigade as it entered into Munich’s main square on this sunny April spring morning.
Speakers in both English and German spoke to the importance of science and fact in today’s political climate. Much rhetoric was devoted to the current regime in America and their total disregard for climate change and industrial pollution. A particularly moving speech was given by Lena H., a student at the Munich International School.
