MUNICH — (MunichNOW News) — According to recent reports from the Muenchen.de website, there is renewed interest in extending the existing pedestrian zone at the northern end of Sendlinger Straße all the way down to Sendlinger Tor.

The test period could begin as soon as June or July of this year. At the end of the trial period, the Munich City Councel would rule on the final transformation.

The idea of the pedestrian-only conversion has been discussed for more than 30 years and the successful conversion of the northern part of the popular shopping street has brough renewed interest in the complete conversion.
